Supported cellular modems:

The CAR-A-WAN supports almost all 16 and 32bit PC card (PCMCIA) cellular modems and can be adopted easily to accommodate GPRS, EDGE, 1xEVDO, 1xRTT, UMTS (3G) and HSDPA products.

The CAR-A-WAN can be used with the following cellular modems:

• Vodafone MCC Option-Card and clones (GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA): Vodafone Option Colt Modell-Nr. 129, Vodafone Option GlobeTrotter Fusion Quadlite, Vodafone Option GlobeTrotter 3G+
• T-Mobile-WLAN/UMTS combi card (Option inside, GPRS/UMTS)
• Novatel-Merlin U630 (GPRS/UMTS)
• SonyEricsson GC75 (GPRS)
• SonyEricsson GC82 (EDGE)
• Verizon Wireless PC 5220 (1xEVDO)
• Sierra Wireless Aircard 580 (1xEVDO)
• Option GlobeTrotter GT MAX (T-Mobile web`n`walk Card compact+DC Excl.)

and should be able to work with any ACM compatible PCMCIA modems.

Currently not supported:

• Option GT Fusion (with Wireless LAN)
